Ann's wedding memories

I am forced by my dear husband Brian to write something about our wedding day...Brian had embarked on this project of setting up our website. Just like his Dad is driving his Mom crazy with his project (writing a book), Brian is driving me crazy with this website project. I am still recuperating from a bad chest infection which kept me in bed for 4 long days, and Brian insists that I write something for the website. And of course as an obedient wife, I do what I am told to...he will pay for it later when I beat him in Scrabble ;-)

Our Wedding day....let me see...Unlike Brian I was nervous, feeling very excited and happy inside. I was also a little bit sad, as nobody from my family or friends from Belgium could join us. I remember that we were having the ceremony outside on the porch at 3:00pm and that right before it started it started to rain. Just for 5 minutes, but it made me nervous because I wanted everyhing to go as planned. Luckily it stopped and everything went ahead as scheduled.

When Brian took my arm and we both walked outside to where all the guests were, I got really nervous. I was thinking: ohhh maybe I will forget all the vows I have to repeat in English. But when I was saying them, I felt like a million bucks. Because they felt soo right, so thruthful. When I watched a wedding on tv in Belgium and you hear these vows in English, they sometimes sound corny, but on that moment that's really how you feel and you mean it with all your heart. This is when I realised I would be Mrs. Bishop for the rest of my life and that I would enjoy everything about getting married (although we could work on the snoring part).

It was a nice day, we had really good food prepared by Brian's mom and we were very happy to stay in a nice hotel room offered as a present by Ken and Sole. I will be forever grateful for the alarm clock that was hidden in the room and that went off at 3:00am! (needless to say that I was the only one who woke up because of this).
